CORE INVESTMENT PROCESSING EXPERIENCE MANDATORY - 10 Years Exp
The successful candidate will assume a combined Senior BA / QA role to begin with in context of a SCRUM team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in agile / scrum mode and have acted in the product owner role. Initial work will align more to senior BA / QA role and will evolve to product owner role in a few months.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to -
1. Work with product managers, product / business owners to analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems
2. Performs business analysis & coordinates involvement of SMEs, users, internal and external stakeholders in order to gather requirements
3. Translates Business Requirements
a. Defines / develops & delivers user stories
b. Delivers acceptance & testing criteria
4. Manages communication with development team. Reviews requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria as required to facilitate sprint and release planning.
a. Helps define and communicate the product and sprint goals for the team throughout iterations
b. Participates in daily stand-up meetings
c. Leads and / or participates in regular grooming sessions to maintain the product backlog to prepare for sprint and release planning
d. Is always accessible and participates proactively and continuously in the activities of the team, acts as a fully integrated member of the team
e. Reviews and accepts the solution delivered by the scrum team. Drives acceptance of the solution amongst the stakeholders.
f. Contributes to the end of the sprint demonstration to stakeholders
5. Test planning / test execution
a. Prepares test data and expected outcomes
b. Executes component or integration testing in alignment with sprint delivery cycles.
6. Champions continuous process improvement across the product development lifecycle
7. Shares in defining the product vision and roadmap with the business and its stakeholder
8. Understands the concept of technical debt and the importance of its prioritization in the backlog
9. Creates, maintains, organizes and communicates the product backlog.
Preferred skills / experience:
1. 12+ years experience as BA / QA, strong preference for minimum 3 years experience in core investment processing / wealth management domain - ex., transaction processing, trade / order flow, custody & accounting, cash processing, portfolio management, Free Movement, Corporate Actions etc.
2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience supporting complex application development / implementation/integration initiatives.
3. Minimum 1.5 year of experience as product owner working in agile / scrum framework.
4. Expert ability in requirements gathering, use case definition, business planning, data analysis, process analysis, business and functional requirements analysis.
5. Demonstrable experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria
6. Demonstrable experience documenting and executing test cases - component and integration test level.
7. Proven effective communication at all levels of the business
a. Excellent presentation, interpersonal and writing skills
b. Must have exceptional soft skills, including the ability to speak both to technical and business audience
c. Excellent collaboration, communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
8. Ability to grasp loosely defined concepts and transform them into tangible results and key deliverables
9. Excellent strengths in time management and organization skills with an aptitude toward creative problem solving.
10. Ability to work in a dynamic and flexible environment
11. Works well under pressure and to tight deadlines
