Citroën, have recently founded their joint venture BPC Electrification.
The competence center develops e-drive systems and key components for
electronic hybrid vehicles. Therefore the job below was transferred from
the BMW Group to the joint competence center.
You will work in a highly motivated, interdisciplinary team on the
development, design and calculation of innovative electric machines for
the traction drives of the future. As a development engineer, you will
be responsible for the development and implementation of design
concepts, their interpretation, the selection of appropriate materials
and the optimisation of the solutions developed in terms of function,
cost and quality. Your area of responsibility will extend from the
conceptual work and mechanical/thermal design of innovative e-machines,
to supporting the building of the prototype and its testing. You will
work in close collaboration with component suppliers, materials
scientists, technology developers, planners, and our prototype builders.
Qualification
- University degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering or an equivalent degree or qualification;
- Extensive work experience;
- Initial experience in design engineering;
- Excellent skills in design, technical mechanics and thermodynamics;
- Ideally, knowledge of one of the standard FEM / CFD programs (e.g. ANSYS);
- Competence in MS Office;
- Business-fluent in English (German or French an advantage);
- Teamwork and communication skills;
- Analytical thinking;
- Personal responsibility for work.
