UX Designer / Information Architect

This is a hands-on UX design role that combines world-class interaction
design and information architecture, with either strong visual
creativity or substantial user research experience. Whichever background
you come from you must be highly creative in your approach, and it's
vital that you care most of all about making projects user-focused.

This super-duper agency have at least 3 years professional experience
in an agency or similar environment and will already be working in a
team driven role with other UX Designers, architects and web designers
too! This UX GURU would have an outstanding, mind boggling portfolio of
successful projects that demonstrate their flexibility of style to suit
different audiences (at least 5 substantial projects), creative problem
solving, and a scary attention to detail. They must have a strong
understanding of how to balance business and user needs and evidence of
producing high quality work to tight deadlines...

UX Design Experience

* Producing high quality work from brief through to delivery.
Including:
* Personas, User scenarios, Wireframes, Concept sketches, Site maps
* If you're from a design background: Final page designs, Moodboards, Brand identities and guidelines
* If you're from a research background: usability facilitation and analysis, depth interviews, concept testing, workshops
* Inputting into briefs and initial concepts for new projects
* Understanding how audiences interact with services we create, and working in a user-centred way to ensure design work is
appropriate for the target audience
* Ensuring that all projects you're working on meet high accessibility criteria
* Ensuring work is technically implementable and the development team are kept regularly updated
* Giving direction, help and advice to any junior staff or freelancers
* Keeping abreast of industry developments in digital platforms and design. Sharing and promoting this knowledge with the wider
team
* Changing and updating UX design work following direction and feedback from senior team or client

Skills requiredAustralia
* Advanced knowledge of UX software ideally including: Axure, Photoshop or Fireworks, Illustrator
* Ability to create prototypes (from paper to clickable versions)
* A strong understanding of user centred design methodologies
* Equally comfortable working independently or collaborating with other designers
* Enough familiarity with html/css to ensure design work is practical and feasible in development time
* Can effectively communicate rationale behind design work both internally and to clients
* Comfortable presenting and discussing work with clients in small groups or individually
* Understanding of and use of typography and colour
