Overview of the Position
CTG’s client is an Oilfield Support Services Company that is looking for an international General Manager for their Roads and Bridges company, which conducts infrastructure development projects in South Sudan.
The General Manager will provide leadership to position the company at the forefront of the industry. Develop a strategic plan to advance the company's mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability and growth as an organization. Oversee company operations to ensure production efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.
General Functions
1. Work with the CEO of the Holding Company to develop a division level strategic plan in order to implement the Holding Company's mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability, and growth as an organization in compliance with established policies and objective of the Holding Company. 2. Oversee the client’s operations to insure production efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources. 3. Oversee the Plants and Equipment Division with keen eye to worker safety 4. Plan, develop, and implement strategies for generating resources and/or revenues for the client in compliance with established policies and objective of the Holding Company. 5. Review project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project. 6. Establish work plans and staffing for each phase of project, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel. 7. Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget. 8. Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required. 9. Prepare project reports for management, client, or others. 10. Ensure on-time, on budget, and within quality specifications of client projects in accordance with contracting requirements 11. Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems. 12. Coordinate project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies. 13. Review activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and revise objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions and accordingly report on monthly basis to Holding Company. 14. Other duties as assigned by CEO or GM in cooperation with the above duties.

• Experience in the Design, planning and building, and maintenance of Roads and Bridges • Experience in strategic planning and execution. Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management. Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures. Experience in formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures. Ability to develop financial plans and manages resources. Ability to analyze and interpret financial data. Knowledge of public relations principles and practices. Knowledge of communication and public relation techniques. Ability to develop and deliver presentations. Ability to identify and secure funding/revenue sources. • Work requires professional written and verbal communication in English and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate and interact with officials at all levels of government and to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Ability to motivate teams and simultaneously manage several projects. • This is normally acquired through a combination of the completion of a Masters Degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Finance or Accounting and ten (10) years of experience in a leadership role for a large division or company. • Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel.
Working Conditions • Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may require frequent weekend and evening work. Work may require frequent overnight travel. • Based in Juba, Southern Sudan on competitive international package.
