Description of the job



In the framework of qualification activities of either strategic or
civilian launch systems and/or orbital systems (ATV-Automated Transfer
Vehicle), we are looking for a System Qualification Engineer.

Tasks & accountabilities


In interface with development teams in charge of the on-board
Electrical & SW sub-systems on the vehicle, with the teams
responsible of tests platforms, and with internal (even external)
customers, you will take part in the activities of verification and
validation of different products (equipment’s, sub-systems, onboard SW,
overall vehicle and finally at global launch system level).

You will be in charge of (within a team of up to 15 engineers):

• Preparation of tests using simulation means with hardware-in-the-loop,
  
• Participation in the engineering of validation's procedures to be used, associated logics, etc.,
  
• Checking the correct operation of electrical equipment and software items in their whole on a reference platform ("Iron-Bird"),
  
• Using the means of the platform (operational electric chains, ground
  systems, simulators, means of instrumentation and measurement, etc.),
  

Thanks to generic and common methodology, you will work on various ASTRIUM major space programs.

This
role provides an opportunity to gain good knowledge of the company and
its processes and therefore, an occasion for greater development.


Required skills


With a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, you are specialized
in Test or Real-Time system engineering with at least 3 years of
experience in a similar position.

An advanced level in English is expected for this position.

You must have current Security Clearance or be eligible for Security Clearance to be considered for this position
